The association supports the work of teachers of Classical Studies and Latin in New Zealand schools.
- Organise a biennial conference for teachers of Classical Studies and Latin
- Publish the NZACT Bulletin
- Produce regular newsletters for members to keep them up to date with curriculum and assessment developments and news from the regions
- Maintain the NZACT website
